Key Skills required
Ability to hold a solid "choral" line when down to one voice per part (many of the choir's "tutti" performances require one voice per part).

Audition
Entry to the choir is by audition. If you would like to audition please contact our musical director Anthony Milledge via the choir mailbox

Rehearsals
Rehearsals are every Thursday Night 7.00pm until 9:30pm in Islington in North London at:
St Mary Magdalene's Primary School, Liverpool Road, London, N7 8PG.

Sight-reading
Our preference is for singers with a good sight-reading ability. Sight-reading will form part of the audition.
Consideration may be given to singers whose sight-reading ability is slightly below the choir's usual standard. Such applicants would need to be able to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to learning the music quickly, to the standard required, both during and in between rehearsals.

Attendance
Commitment to attending the regular Thursday rehearsals (as well as the concerts!) is vital to ensure the choir gets the most from each rehearsal and keeps "rework" to a minimum.

Solo work.
All soloists are taken from within the choir to retain stylistic consistency. Athough a variety of solo opportunities do arise, no individual is guaranteed solo work as each solo is assessed on its own merits to ensure singer/style compatibility.
